It has been my pleasure to welcome many learners of English from different parts of the world. Often they have been looking for different things. For some, it was perhaps to learn more of, or walk in the shadows of, the great writers and Nobel Laureates in English: G B Shaw, W B Yeats, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Seamus Heaney and others. For others, the liveliness and character of Dublin; to experience the beauty and greenness of this western isle and its rich and ancient traditions in music, sport and dance.
